No, there are no membership fees. The classes are either paid weekly or in some cases you pay for a course of classes over a certain period.

Directions on how to drive to us are on the contact us or how to find us pages. If you are coming by bus we are in Houndmills, on the no. 6 Bus route. You need to leave the bus at the stop by McMillans and walk down Houndmills Road, until Stephenson Road is on your right. The Centre is in Stephenson Road.

Yes, the Active Life Centre is fully-equipped with male and female changing rooms with showers. There are separate changing rooms for under 16 boys and girls.

There are drinks and refreshment machines and at certain times of the day the café is open. There will be an increased service in the café in the next few months.

Yes, it is possible to pay for some classes on a monthly basis and therefore pay a reduced rate, please contact our development team for further details.

Access to the centre is possible for wheelchair-users, there are disabled parking spaces and within the centre everything is at ground level. There are also disabled toilet and shower facilities.

Please refer to the individual class explanations for details on specific classes. In general there are classes suitable for all ages and levels. Some of the daytime classes have been designed specifically for the over 55s, who are looking to improve their posture and balance with low impact exercise. Please contact our development team if you are unsure which class is right for you and we will be happy to help.

Yes, at this Centre we actively encourage inclusion in our classes, where possible. Please contact the development team to discuss this further, so that we can find the right solution for each individual. We are also open to offering classes in our studios for groups with specific needs, please contact us to discuss this further if you are interested.

Yes! At the Active Life Centre we have 40 mins Tums, Bums & Thighs classes for aerobic exercise and 40 mins Pilates classes to strengthen, balance and mobilize in the lunchhour. Specific details can be found on the adult class pages.
